Give us a day.

Giving Tuesday Campaign

We asked 500 teenagers, “What are the biggest challenges for your age group?” The 19 pages of responses we got back were candid, sometimes heart-breaking, and extremely insightful. Using this information as a springboard, I helped developed a fundraising campaign for Giving Tuesday to show the value of Launch Leadership’s services: Teenagers are facing a lot, but in just one day, Launch can make a huge impact on their lives and future trajectory.

One day of Launch services costs about $100, so the tag “Give Us a Day” added some quick depth. In just one day, Launch can help young people. For just $100 you can provide that service. Giving Tuesday was the day to “Give Us a Day.”

This campaign shined brightest online, where we shared a text-based video on Launch’s social channels that spelled out the issues teens are facing. The video was followed by Launch event imagery and graphic text blocks with more survey answers. Through this campaign, we were able to raise thousands of dollars for Launch Leadership, in addition to bringing awareness (and providing a solution) to some major challenges.

Give to Lincoln Day

Give to Lincoln Day is an annual celebration of organizations that are critical to the care, support and spirit of Lincoln, NE. For 2019’s Give to Lincoln Day, we centered on one powerful thought: When you invest in Launch, you invest in Lincoln’s up and coming leaders. To illustrate the investment that Launch (and other caring adults) put into students, we recorded Launch students and adults who invested in them tell us about the successes they’ve seen in their lives since partaking in Launch activities. These videos were shared on social media and in email blasts, helping us raise $35,000.
